Sale-a-bration and Summer mini card class

Hi my Stamping Friends!

Today I just want to share with you two cards that we'll be making this Friday night at my card class. Sale-a-bration and the Summer mini catalogue finish up at the end of March so I wanted to get a class in with some of these gorgeous products before they are no longer available!

Firstly we have a feminine Birthday card using our lovely Top note shaped die, Designer frames embossing folders and my fave new punch, The lace ribbon border punch.
The stamp set is called You are loved from the Summer mini and that lovely Calypso coral DSP is part of one of the FREE packs available during Sale-a-bration.
Around the Designer frame I have sponged on a little soft suede ink and then some of the shimmer paint in Champagne mist to make it look a little like a picture frame.

The second card is for the boys which is great because it's always tricky to make boys cards. Well, I have had on loan from my friend The Open Sea stamp set and it's fantastic! This was quite a quick card to make using a bit of a collage stamped background with sponging and then the white layer is simply stamped on and scrunched up then flattened out and sponged to give it an aged look.
The greeting is from the fabulous Hostess set, Happiest Birthday wishes and punched out with our circle scallop punch.
This card was inspired by the talented Teneale Williams... I am almost too scared to link to her because her original version is just stunning! This is a simpler take on it but I am still happy with it, as you can see I copied her background idea of layering the Not quite navy cardstock to achieve a border and then the stamping and sponging is similar to her card also.

Happy Stamping my friends!

Just add Ink 108 Colour challenge

Hi my stamping friends!

It's been a while since I have found (made!) the time to participate in a stamping challenge. I was delighted to see the fresh colours over at this week's Just add Ink colour challenge.
The colours are Pool party, Island indigo, Whisper white and Early espresso. I am so loving these beautiful blues at the moment from Stampin' Up!s current in colours.

I have used the now retired Seaside stamp set and my handy Bring on the cake stamp set for the sentiment. I LOVE the variety of birthday greetings and styles in this set. And a lovely antique brad for a little interest!
Thanks for looking! Happy Stamping!

A pretty patchwork Berry blossoms card

Hello!

Whilst I was making a birthday card for my little sister I also had my Mum in law on my mind as it is her birthday in March too! The Berry blossoms DSP is just so pretty and cute and like I said in my previous post I love the colour combination.
I have wanted to try one of these patchwork top note cards and thought this was the perfect opportunity. I have used different patterned papers from the DSP and also a few squares of embossed cardstock (petals-a-plenty folder) in Calypso coral, Wisteria wonder and Lucky limeade.

Happy stamping!

Berry blossoms birthday

Hi My stamping friends!

Today I have a little card that I have made for my gorgeous sister! She lives all the way on the other side of the country in Perth and I just miss her so much. It's her 17th birthday soon! And to be honest - that makes me feel really old! Nevertheless, I had to make her a special card and I thought that the colours in the Berry Blossoms DSP would suit her perfectly.
This card is actually based quite a lot on this card made by Cindy Hall for the Freshly made sketches challenges. I loved the colours and layout Cindy has used and so I have adapted the card very slightly for the card I have here to share with you today!
Can you spot the free Sale-a-bration item used on this card? Yes! That's right - the Calypso coral ribbon is free (it actually comes in a set of a roll of Calypso and a roll of limeade ribbon plus a pack of cute brads!). If you just love the gentle and pretty flow of this ribbon, you can have some for free too with any order over $100 before the end of March!

And I have finished off the card with a cute little punched out butterfly from the good ol' Butterfly prints set and the sentiment comes from the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess stamp set.

My biggest boy turns 7

I really do wonder where the time has gone, but 7 years ago I had my first little baby - a boy! Wow has he grown up so very much into a lovely boy. Those shoulders are starting to broaden and he is definetely growing fast. He eats at least 4 or 5 weetbix for breakfast these days (am contemplating buying shares in Sanitarium!) and has plans to be a scientist!
I thought I would share with you the little card that I made for our little man. I have used the Under the big top set with the Happiest Birthday wishes hostess stamp set. With lots of bright colours for a bright little boy - Real red, Tempting turquoise, Daffodil delight and Whisper white. For the colouring of the lion there is also a little crumb cake in there!
Thanks for looking!

Something S-A-B!

Hi My Stamping Friends!

Just a quick card to share with you today using the lovely Elementary elegance stamp set which you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration (ends March 31st).
I love the little frame that comes in this set which co-ordinates with the curly label punch. The other brilliant thing with this set is that you receive a stamp of each of the elements in the main frame - a crown, butterfly, key and bird so then you can use one (or more I guess) to highlight this in your card. So, for example, I have used the little bird stamp on top of the frame to make that the focus of the card. The sentiments in this set are Happy Birthday and Hello. So it's a really sweet, versatile little stamp set.
I have also used my all time favourite item on this card, the vintage wallpaper embossing folder in the Big shot and then used a sponge dauber to dab a little bit of white craft ink onto the raised parts. The colours I've used are Very vanilla, Baja breeze, Not quite navy and Calypso coral. And I christened my new Dotted scallop ribbon border punch!

Don't forget to place your sale-a-bration orders before March 31st so that you can have this set or another stamp set, pack of ribbons and brads or designer series papers for free! You can email me clairedaunceysu - at - gmail.com to order!
Another great offer at the moment is our special for new demonstrators - the kit is $40 off so only $249 for over $610 value plus you can choose any free stamp set from the catalogue and you can also receive $50 off your ticket to the Stampin'Up convention to be held in May this year. Wow, lots of value there. So please just drop me an email if you would like some more info on that wonderful opportunity!

Happy Stamping!
