Hello baby boy & class date change

Hi my stamping friends :)

I hope you are all well out there in blogland! Before I get onto sharing my card with you, I need to let you know about a date change for my May stamping class. This month is "Children's cards" and we will be making a baby boy card, a boy or girl birthday card (you decide) and a girly birthday card. The class is $10 for all 3 cards and will now be held on Tuesday May 29th at 7:30pm in Cairns. If you would like to come along please let me know by this Sunday May 27th. clairedaunceysu @ gmail.com

So, to the card... this is one of the cards we'll be making at our class - it's a cute baby boy card (I just love those owls!) but I think this one could almost stretch to a first birthday card if you used a different sentiment.

The colours are Marina mist, Pear pizzazz and whisper white and I have used the cute Nursery nest papers (which I have bought to scrapbook with for my own babies!) with some grosgrain ribbon in Marina mist and also used the polkadot embossing folder on the Pear pizzazz cardstock. It's a nice, quick and easy card :)

There is also only a few days left to take advantage of our paper party offer! If you purchase 3 packs of  designer series papers you will receive a fourth pack for free! Also if you sign up as a demonstrator by purchasing our fully customisable starter kit you will receive a free pack of desinger series paper every month until December this year! Purchasing our starter kit has no strings attached but lots of opportunities to either start your own business or to increase your stamping supplies.

Please contact me if you have any questions at all!
Happy stamping!

My sister, the newlywed

Hi my friends!

So much to share with you all! I have had an amazing week away with my two little sisters in Thailand as Laura (my middle sister) tied the knot with her man, Joel! My youngest sister, Olivia and I were bridesmaids with three of Laura's close friends.

My favourite photo from the trip. (L-R Olivia, Laura and me!)
Of course, I had to make the lovely couple a card and with the wedding colours being a lovely grey and yellow combo I could not resist following this theme in my card.
I used the cute little stamp set, You are loved, and heat embossed it using Clear embossing powder and versamark with Daffodil delight ink. This made the heart image pop and look a bit more special. The best way to do this with our inks is to ink up your stamp in versamark, then on top of that ink up with the colour of choice (here, daffodil delight). Then once you have stamped your image, sprinkle on the clear embossing powder and heat set. Simple! :)
The greeting is from my favourite greetings set, Teeny tiny Sentiments. For a little bit of extra texture and bling I have used the hearts embossing folders from the new Adorning accents embossing folders set (In the current mini catalogue) and some stick on rhinestones.
The colours are Basic grey and Daffodil delight on Whisper white.

Then, as a gift for the lovely couple I saw this idea on another blog and thought it was perfect as they were having a destination wedding! I thought it might be a nice little picture to hang up in their home somewhere. I decided to stick with the wedding colours again as I decorated it. They ended up putting the picture up on their guest book table at the wedding which was totally unexpected but I was blessed to see that they liked it :)

Close up, the maps are printed from Google maps and cut out freehand.
The guest book table at the wedding. Laura had a gorgeous photo book printed up in black and white which all the guests signed in silver pen! A lovely idea as a momento from their day.
Thanks for looking everyone! I hope this has brightened your day... and maybe given you an idea for a wedding or anniversary gift, or even a gift for your other half perhaps?
Happy stamping!
Love,
Claire

Friendship card using Tea Shoppe

Hi my stamping friends!

Just a little friendship card to share with you today. I just love this sentiment,
"Stay is a charming word in a friend's vocabulary".

It's always nice when a friend says, "Stay just for one more cuppa." I know I have a few close friends
who would be nodding in agreement there! ;)

I have used the lovely new Tea shoppe stamp set on this card with that beautiful big tea cup stamped up in Island indigo. The lighter blue background is called pool party.

I hope this card inspires you a little, either to do some stamping or to have a friend pop over for a cup of tea!
Happy stamping!

How to become a Stampin' up! demonstrator

Hi my stamping friends!

Have you ever thought about the idea of becoming a Stampin' up! demonstrator? It's a wonderful opportunity for many different reasons. Some people join for the social aspect and learning more about stamping, some people join for the discount available on their stamping products, others join so that they can make a great business out of it!
Below is a picture of the fabulous customisable kit that Stampin' up have for their new demonstrators. The items pictured below and the business pack included (but not pictured) is valuesd at an amazing $610 but as a new demonstrator you only pay $289. That is a great saving! And as I mentioned above it's customisable which means that you can choose your colours and which stamp sets you'd like (at the same or lesser value than those pictured).
I am writing this post as we have just been told that there will be changes made to this kit so as of April 30th, this will no longer be available! So if you would really like to order this kit then please contact me today as tomorrow, Monday, April 30th is your last chance to order this starter kit (We will need to fill in and fax off some forms to Stampin' up!).

Which leads me to introducing our new starter kit! Now there isn't a picture for this one because you can choose whatever you like! That's right, the new starter kit is FULLY customisable and is only $169. For that price you can order up to $235 worth of products (completely your choice, so you can get the Big shot or Simply scored or anything your little heart desires!) plus you will also receive a business supplies pack valued at $80 which includes catalogues and order forms and much more so that you can get your Stampin' up! business off to a flying start! Now, if you are keen to purchase this kit simply as a hobby demonstrator then you can still pass these catalogues on to your friends!
So this means you will be receiving your kit valued at up to $315 for only $169 and FREE shipping! Wow, hey?

As to how to become a demonstrator, simply contact me and I can help you with filling out the forms and explaining everything!

And... stay tuned as on Tuesday I will be announcing this months special from Stampin' up for new recruits and a special something for my lovely customers too! It's very exciting. If you would like further information then please send me an email at clairedaunceysu@gmail.com and I can add yout to my email mailing list.

Happy stamping!

Sweet shop - Bring on the cake!

Hi My Stamping Friends!

I just had to share this sweet little card with you today using this new set of Designer Series papers (DSP)  called Sweet shop The set includes 8 double sided patterned papers and four sheets of embossed papers (12 sheets of 12"x12" in total). Those white hearts on the Calypso Coral background are actually raised. And there is another sensory element to this card... I have embossed the greeting with vanilla scented stampin' emboss powder! So it smells like vanilla! So much fun. I have more ideas brewing with these papers so please stay tuned!
You can find these sweet papers and scented embossing powders in the new Autumn-Winter mini catalogue on pages 22 and 23. If you don't have your copy yet then please contact me and I can get one to you - or click on the link on my sidebar to view the catalogue online.

Happy Stamping!
